For Academic Excellence

We concentrate on teaching the children specific skills that form the groundwork for fine motor skills development. This is essential for writing in later years. Herewith some examples :

As well as playing and learning, we also emphasise on social skills such as sharing, caring, considerateness, manners, hygiene and many more essential coping skills in preparation for the ‘big world”.
Gr 00 / Gr RLiteracy: listening, speaking, reading and viewing, writing, thinking and reasoning.
Numeracy: numbers, operations and relationships, patterns, functions and algebra, space, shape and measurement
Life Orientation: health promotion, social development, personal development, physical development and movement.
They also do a lot of learning through play. Learning is an extension of play.
From January 2009 we will be using the Day By Day Early Childhood Development School Readiness programme (Complimentary supplement to the Revised National Curriculum Statement). Website : www.daybydayecd.co.za
